Synopsis
Alain Corneau brings colour and stylized flare to the noir gangster opus in his remake of Jean-Pierre Melville’s Le deuxieme souffle. Gustave Minda, one of France’s most notorious gangsters, escapes from prison and resolves to start fresh. He plans to flee the country with Manouche, the woman he loves. With the police on his heels, Gustave needs one last score to make it work. The job is a success, but the fallout is a disaster.
