Synopsis

Amanda occasionally baby-sits for friends and neighbors, so when the newly-arrived couple in the village ask her to sit for them, she accepts. When the baby is asleep and the parents have left, the house adopts an atmosphere of menace. The simplest domestic sound becomes an assault on the nerves: the relentless tick of the pendulum clock and the tapping, squeaking, breathing of an old house at dead of night. But soon it becomes apparent that her fears are more than just the workings of an over-active imagination ...
