Synopsis

Based on true events, Flame & Citron is a WWII spy thriller about two Danish resistance fighters who work undercover performing acts of sabotage and liquidating Nazi informers. Flame (Thure Lindhardt, Into the Wild) and Citron (Mads Mikkelsen, Casino Royale) are old friends whose bond deepens in the dark trenches of war. The two begin to question their orders when Flame is asked to execute his girlfriend, Ketty. Desperate and disillusioned, Flame and Citron come to suspect that the Holger Dankse resistance has a hidden agenda, and that the only people they can trust are each other.
