Synopsis
It is 1944. A young US pilot, Gene Summers, grounded after flying fifty combat missions over occupied France, is asked by US Intelligence if he will go as an agent to Paris to kill Lafitte, a man suspected of betraying Free French agents. Gene, treating the assignment as something of a joke, arrives in Paris and tracks down Lafitte, only to discover that what had previously been a face seen only in a photograph is flesh and blood, a small pathetic person who appears totally innocent of any crime ...
