Frances Ha

A small miracle of a movie, honest and funny with an aim that's true.
-Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times
The director mixes moods with a playfulness that is both brazen and carefree and yet precisely modulated, yielding results that amplify the specific content of the screenplay.
-Todd McCarthy, The Hollywood Review
Very sincere...a small and special movie.
-Mary Pols,, TIME Magazine
Impossible de résister au charme maladroit et à la bonne humeur à toute épreuve de cette anti-héroïne! Greta Gerwig trimballe sa jolie nonchalance dans une image en noir et blanc élégante.
-Le Journal du Dimanche

Synopsis

Frances (Greta Gerwig) lives in New York, but she doesn't really have an apartment. She is an apprentice for a dance company, but she's not really a dancer. She has a best friend named Sophie, but they aren’t really speaking anymore. Greta Gerwig shines in Noah Baumbach’s Frances Ha, a modern comedy about a charming 27-year-old who wants so much more than she has, but lives her life with unaccountable joy and lightness.
