Lisbon is a confident thriller... a blend of sex, farce and perverse domestic melodrama.

Synopsis

On a countryside highway in Spain, a tragic accident kills a driver, his wife and child. On the same highway a porn video salesman meets a stranded rich housewife who is desperately fleeing her family and trying to get to Lisbon. Ignorant to the complete picture, João agrees to give Berta a lift to Lisbon. What seems like a casual drive turns into a neck-to-neck car chase with Berta's family. Berta reveals to João that her husband is party to a conspiracy involving her father's company and the driver from the accident at the beginning of the film. Berta was entrusted with evidence - kept safely in a box in Lisbon- that would incriminate her husband. The chase continues as Berta races to Lisbon to expose the crime while her husband tries to force her to go back with him. But Berta is not planning to go that easily. A powerful and gripping film, Lisbon takes the viewer in a world of mystery and confusion that turns into a travelling nightmare.
