Hill in Korea, A

A FILM BY Julian Amyes

Synopsis

A small fighting patrol is detailed to search a village in Korea. Chinese armies cut off their retreat to their own lines and the patrol is left with only one possible stronghold, a deserted temple on the summit of the nearby mountain. The wireless operator, a cowardly misfit, gives way to despair and throws away his wireless pack, destroying their last chance of contact with base. Although the patrol manages to destroy a tank sent up by the enemy, both the officer and sergeant realize that hope of rescue or breakout is remote.
