Synopsis
Alain (Gerard Depardieu) is a successful doctor in his mid-fifties who has been married to Gisele (Fanny Ardant) most of his adult life. Looking for a change and eager to embrace their Jewish heritage, they decide to pull up stakes and move from Paris to Tel Aviv. But fate puts a damper on their enthusiasm when the apartment they rented is not at all what they expected, their baggage gets lost en route, Alain's job falls through, and to add insult to injury, Gisele strikes up an uncomfortably close friendship with a handsome young rabbi (Lior Ashkenazi).
